Course Description: This 5 hour class will update you on dozens of major changes and other important rules in the 2023 NEC, such as: Major new GFCI requirements, Surge Protection Devices, Installation Instructions, Energy Management Systems, Copper Clad Aluminum Conductors, Selective Coordination, Outdoor Feeder Emergency Disconnects, Arc Flash Reduction, Garage Loads, Barriers, Service Disconnects, Residential Kitchen Rules, Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment, Equipment Clearances above Drop Ceilings, Marinas, and much, much more. Don’t be left in the dark! Understanding these additional rules are crucial for safety and running a business.
After each module, a short 10 question quiz requires an 70% pass rate.
Course Objectives: The student will better understand how to navigate, interpret and understand the 2023 NEC and apply it in the electrical field or place of work. The course is designed for electricians, electrical maintenance technicians, foreman, supervisors and licensed electrical contractors. Course is approved for continuing education for electrical licenses in Maryland, and PA.
